Thanksgiving is just around the corner. So you know what that means: feasting, family, and football. What goes better with a know-it-all mother-in-law and that uncle than a big ol’ side of booze?? Readers, we got ya covered!
We decided to put three of our favorite bartenders to the test by asking them to create a special drink off the cuff. Check out these fall inspired cocktails from our local watering holes:
Lil Kate’s Maple Nut Goodie
- equal parts Bulleit bourbon and salted caramel Baileys
- splash Kahlua
- splash half and half
- maple syrup
- sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
Remember those maple nut candies? This drink is STRAIGHT UP fabulousness, hence the name and the namesake 🙂
The Fabulous Kate of local favorite Bella Italia in Cape Girardeau, Mo
Brauck’s GoDiva Martini
- shot each Godiva chocolate liqueur, salted caramel Baileys, Smirnoff vodka
- shake with cinnamon
- pour into a caramel-rimmed martini glass
OK – this drink surprised everyone, included the mixologist himself! And we have a confession to make… it’s called Brauck’s GoDiva Martini because that is how he pronounced it. Awwwwwe, sweet just like this drink!
This special drink also courtesy of the Bella Italia
- equal parts Smirnoff Whipped Cream Vodka and Pearl Caramel Vodka
- splash Sour Apple Pucker
This drink tasted like a crisp and buttery fall apple! Hey, does an apple a day apply here?!
The lovey Sam of The Library Bar, a local favorite hangout in Cape Girardeau, Mo
*Photog note: I was getting all artsy here. It had nothing to do with the cocktail tasting of course 🙂
So there you have it, three great fall drinks served by three fabulous bartenders.
What will you be serving at your Thanksgiving, or preThanksgiving festivities? We would love to hear from you!
