Lets Get Cooking

Hello, my fellow foodies!

Last week was pretty intense. I went to Las Vegas to support my fiance and his business partner at a trade show. We arrived late on Tuesday and each day of the show was pretty long, so that meant late dinners.

I enjoyed some fabulous sushi at Skushi in the Paris Hotel and Casino – this was probably the highlight of the trip!

The Sekushi Lobster roll was $22, but worth every penny. Not usually one to indulge in such extravagance I thought what the hell! When in Paris, right? I love knowing that they use fresh, farm to table ingredients too.

The rest of the week I tried to stick to salads to make up for the extra consumption of bubbly and late night eating. Not to mention the hevty price tag. Most of our lunches and dinners for two carried a price tag of  $80-100 a pop. I was surprised by this. It was my first time in Vegas, and I have always heard it’s cheap to stay.

We have been on the road for 11 out of the last 20 days. So I am ready to get back to a normal schedule.  I picked up three new pieces of business this week (YAY!) so I am not sure how “normal” it will be around here, but we will give it a try!

Since we have been gone so much I don’t have anything planned until my next trip to the market. I thought this would be a perfect reason to keep frozen pizzas around. If anyone can recommend a good organic one let me know!
