One of my favorite weekend chores is putting together our weekly menu. I sit down and surround myself with all my recipe books, printouts, and cards and happily sip away on bubbly while I think about all the yummy things I’m going to be making during the next week. Let’s face it folks, the only thing better than sharing a good meal is thinking about the next one! #superfoodie
One of the highlights of the week will be our trip to Broadway Oyster Bar in St. Louis. If you have never been, the best way I can describe it is a Cajun jam session on your eccentric friends back patio. If your eccentric friend’s back patio was covered in oyster shells and graffiti. And they had rockin’ bands.
Oooh, what will I have?? The jambalaya is good, as is the peel n eat shrimp. However, I don’t think ANYTHING beats the Alligator Sausage & Shrimp Cheesecake. Oh, wee… it may not sound good but just think cream cheese, smoked gouda, and sausage. Is it obvious – I can’t wait!
Then it is back to reality on Wednesday with a veggie-packed taco salad. We then do our usual on Thursday night, the what-do-you-want, I-don’t-care, what-do-you-want tango, before finishing the week off with a lovely fish stew.
I’ll be back later this week to cook something marvelous for you. Until then, cheers!
